Columbia Study Finds Carotenoid Supplements Tied to Increase in Breast Cancer Deaths

Some supplements may be harmful for breast cancer patients says Columbia study.

While the benefits of vitamin supplements for breast cancer patients are unclear, some supplements may actually be harmful, according to a new study published in Cancer by lead author Dr. Heather Greenlee, assistant professor of epidemiology in the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and medical oncology at Columbia’s College of Physicians & Surgeons, and colleagues.
