GW Researchers Find Obesity Negatively Impacts Income, Especially for Women

Researchers find an overall wage differential between those of normal weight and those who are obese, especially when it comes to women.

A new report from George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services’s Department of Health Policy uncovered an overall wage differential between those of normal weight and those who are obese, especially when it comes to women. The research, titled Gender and Race Wage Gaps Attributable to Obesity, demonstrates the impact obesity may have on a person’s paycheck.  More...
