Virginia Commonwealth University was proud to host the First Annual Virginia Public Health Association Statewide Career and Internship Fair on December 4, 2009
The Virginia Public Health Association Career and Internship Fair was hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) on December 4, 2009 at VCU’s University Student Commons Building. Over 80 students representing VCU, George Mason University (GMU), the University of Virginia (UVA), and Eastern Virginia Medical School/Old Dominion University (EVMS/ODU) turned out to attend a variety of workshops and network with alumni, staff, faculty and VAPHA members. The event also featured an exhibit hall where students discussed internships and career opportunities with representatives from 16 public health organizations! Additionally, the very first VAPHA Scholarship was awarded to Christopher Winstead-Derlega, an MPH student at UVA, for his accomplishments and outstanding student career. Congratulations Christopher!
